Why are tractors not sold with 20.8 tires? Is it a row crop thing?
If you had 18.4r42 tires can you switch to 20.8r42 tires on the same rims? Will they be a smoother ride?
Also been running firestone sat 2 on front of tractors and getting horrible service life out of them. Like 300 to 500 hrs. I do road alot between farms. Is it becuase of the 23 degree bars? I swear the Firestone 23 degree vibrate horribly on the road. Would there be a better tire for me?
Normally 18.4 width tires are mounted on 16 in. rims. 20.8 on 18 in. rims. As far as overall height, a 20.8 x 38 is very similar to an 18.4 x 42.
I've seen 20.8 tires mounted on 16 in. rims, but I personally wouldn't do it. |
