Do people quit eating if they don't go to restaurants? If the shelves are empty doesn't that mean demand is good? I think food is just displaced right now,more demand from stores and less from resturants.
That’s what I think too. Unless there is more use of higher cost items (steaks vs hamburgers) at restaurants?
Back when the restaurants first shut down, one of the farm radio stations said that restaurants used 30% of a beef carcass by weight and paid 50% of the value of that carcass.
