I have used live traps with good luck, usually an apple with peanut butter although I think plastic would work. Went in the machine shed one day and there was floor dry all aver and no bag, so cleaned up the floor dry put in a bucket and got rid of what little plastic that was left, next day I went to the machine shed and that @#$%&* ground hog had chewed up the seat on my Honda 4 wheeler. Got him with a conibear over his hole by the shed.
