SW OH | .22-250 is the preferred method here.
I've tried havaheart traps, cheap, flimsy, junk. I have 2 duke traps that are better, but still rarely catch anything but cats. Trying to catch coons in them. I've tried everything you can think of for bait.
For groundhogs you can't beat a conibear on a box. Laying on the ground they will jump in the air and close above the groundhogs. The box had to be big enough for the trap to swing down inside. Put over 1 hole and fill any others. Has no choice but to go through trap.
Nobody wants your groundhog.
