Elmwood, Ne. Just East of Lincoln | I've had good luck with craigslist. You can tell right away if it's a legit call by the questions they ask. Don't respond to emails or texts that ask if your item is still for sale using the exact description as your featured line in your add. Example if your selling a "4020 power shift with duals" and someone asks you if your "4020 power shift with duals" is still available its no good. A normal buyer will ask if your "tractor" or your "4020" is still available. I've sold from $25 to $65,000 on there. Just had a 4430 go out the driveway today from a Craigslist add. Sold a small bush hog shredder yesterday. Have a 8100 on it now. Have always taken a personal check and haven't been burned yet though there is a first time for everything. Quick story. One time a guy wrote me a check for a planter and my bank called and said he put a stop payment on it. Oh No! Called the guy and he said he didn't know what was going on and he would look into it. Called back in a half hour. He had put a stop payment on it a month earlier because he thought he had lost the check at an auction. Mailed me another. Couple guys brought a pocket full of cash for a Kubota utility and a Deere utility we sold last spring. Lawn mowers, skid loader, field cultivator, mulch finisher old windows and the list goes on. Have drove as far as the Oklahoma Kansas line to buy. Not for everyone but I like it and the price is right. |
