Nw Iowa | Last thing I would do is consign to a dealer. They have their own issues about moving their own inventory. If you are going to sell it your self price it right. Remember commissions are 7-10% of total so price it right, save commission and have it sold. The idea that you are going to sell it yourself but don’t want people to look, take it to consignment auction but want a reserve, my guess is you will have it for sale for along time. Know what reality is as far as price. If you price it fairly and add alittle for negotiation than your item will sell quite quickly. If you have something really outstanding than a auction will probably bring most money. I myself would much rather buy something on somebody’s place were I can see care versus a consignment lot but that is me.
