Central ND | My take on the whole thing would be that there is a percentage of cash kept on hand that fulfils the banks historial expected needs over a certain period of time. Now days money is no longer greenback or gold but notation on computer memory and electronic calculations and paper or numbers on your phone. So if everyone came in for cash at the same time and there is none on hand it will be paid to you in plastic, or check blank bank draft or some other form of notation that you have credibility of money, BUT NOT much in green money. Is it possible for a bank to run out of cash? SURE!
Limited cash sitting around in banks keeps bank robbery attempts lower due to getting in there and the loot isnt even there(: | |
