Where I work we keep cash on hand based on our normal cash flow which varies from week to week depending on if it is a payroll week for our community or social security or whatever may be going on such as holidays and community events. As long as we know when the checks will be issued we will be able to have cash on hand.
A couple things to keep in mind. Paper money IS DIRTY. If that is a concern deposit the check and use a debit card. Some businesses are going to debit or credit card only so their employees do not hav to handle paper money.
Using a card is fine if the keypad, stylus pen and screen are being sanitized between customers. |
