n.c.iowa | ronm - 3/19/2020 08:58 I have no doubt about that. My Grandma was going to 3 or 4 doctors and every one of them would give her a different bunch of pills, until she didn't know what she was taking, or why. My mom finally flushed them all down the toilet, and made the docs start over.
therein lies a BIG part of the problem ronm. Back in the “good ol’ days” of the family practitioner there was most times one person doing the diagnosing and treatment prescribing, if there was another individual involved it was always a coordinated effort with your primary care person.
now with this fractured system of specialists and primary care providers often being P.A.’s. It’s almost entirely up to the individual to be in charge of what’s going on with their own health.
after experiencing some things in my own little world of questionable prescriptions, and watching and cleaning up after a family member that went through the same thing as your grandfather, my eyes were really opened up about the way things really work in our present state of the medical system. |
