| Yes, we were up in the arctic and I shot a moose. It was about week six of a seven week trip, and this moose went back to Fairbanks with us for the winter. When I show this picture to urban, mostly liberal (g) people, they are a bit taken aback. They are not used to the realism of life. I just like it because of the contrast between the sweet smile and the partially eaten moose heart on the rock. The plan was to float the moose down that little stream to the river and then on down to our camp, but, as plans often do - it didn't work out. So, I ended up carrying the cut up animal about a mile to the river. | |
