Some probably do.

But several I follow give interviews freely and I think about the time they spend making nothing. Some do have books to promote, others not. Some offer private consultations.

I'm sure self promotion comes into play in a lot of situations. They probably have to make a living.

I try to look at it from the science they are basing their opinions on.
