waaaay east central Colorado | Im with you John. When you are doing things that are time or temperature sensitive, you gotta do them when you're able, and the lights on modern equipment are very effective. I do a lot of summertime spraying at night, because it's just too hot during to day to be effective. I'm not gonna wake up at 4, spray till 8, do a whole days work, and then spray from 8 at night to 10 or 11. The days get pretty long pretty quick that way. I'd rather start spraying at 7 in the evening, go all night, and quit around 8 in the morning. I get more hours of spraying in, and life's waaaay easier when you get 8 hours of sleep, no matter when it is that you get them. It'd be different if I was working unfamiliar fields. But in fields that I've known since I was that high *puts hand around knee high*, I'm comfortable working at night. |
