Dad planted a lot of it, under oats or wheat. He would wait until the following June, and plow it under. It was as tall as the tractor. But it really likes that longer time frame in spring to really grow like crazy.

I end up with a little in my plowdown mix, but I tend to graze it off in fall, so it's not nearly what dad was doing back in the 60s and 70s.
