They stay pretty steady throughout the summer, early fall. We have never had this many before, maybe it's last years offspring coming back that's adding to the numbers.
Also interesting - they don't seem to fight as much when there are this many. When we had just a few, there were a couple of dominant males that wouldn't let others have much time at the feeder.
