It sounds like time to recalibrate your wheel angle sensor. If that doesn't do it, repeat the entire autocalibration.
None of the symptoms you have described are cause to suspect the valve. Valve issues are incredibly rare, and if they occur are usually more a matter if *if* it steers than *how* it steers. Matters of *how* it steers are usually configuration, calibration, or sensor related.
