| The allis 301 was the harvey hand grenade, not the 426. The 426 is very stout at 150hp and not bad at the 189 the 8070 is rated at. The last generation 426's seem to have larger bearings and rods from what I've been told. The death of any allis engine has been lots of revs, I run our 8070 at 1700-1800 rpms no prob, pulling 25ft disc, 27ft cultivator and 21ft deep tiller. Have a 426 in a 210 at 12000hrs slightly turned up with a broken rev limiter that's untouched. | |
