If your Trimble guidance lines show up in your Fields in the Mangement tree then do the following:

Device Set-up:
Add new
Name the file
In Field set up - pick the fields
In Spatial Data Setup - pick Guidance and the years (if you created lines over multiple years)

Export to Display
pick "Insight"

This worked well for the fields and boundaries, but I can't get the guidance lines to sort into the corresponding fields. It just leaves them on the card.

That is what I was implying when I mentioned having to do them "one by one". Ag Leader's approach which I started with and seems so logical is that a guidance line is associated with a field. Usually for me this is the field from which the current device created it. I make an AB line with an Ag Leader display and it associates it with that field. This means that later when I go to that field and want to reuse an old AB line, I'm only presented with those lines associated with that field. Trimble seems to just throw all the lines in a pile and you need to sort through them to get the one you want. It's actually not quite that bad but having good descriptive names that make sense next year is ALWAYS a good idea.

Since your lines were made by a Trimble product, you will likely have to "sort" them into the fields where you would like to see them appear on the Insight. I think you will be able to do this but it will take some time. This might be a good time to weed out some unused AB lines anyway.

The following may or may not work as I have not actually done this with Trimble lines into Ag Leader. I did have a Trimble 750 but got so frustrated with its data management that I didn't even bother to attempt to reuse AB lines. That tractor was only used for tillage anyway.

On the Insight pick a field. Then import a guidance line from the memory card which will then be associated with the field you have chosen. Having a good descriptive name for the line is almost a must. Chose a line and import it from the memory card into the Insight. Possibly the Insight will not allow this if the guidance lines are not associated with a field already. At that point that AB line will be associated with that field only in the Insight. Repeat the process for each line.

This might be easier with the newer displays that allow you the option of "showing all guidance lines" not just those associated with that field. I haven't done this but I'm thinking that if the display had a spare fake field, all the guidance lines might be able to be imported into it. Then when you use a real field for the first time you could select show all guidance lines and pick the one you want (again good names are essential), once it is used with the correct field it can be saved there where it will be associated with the correct field in the future. Even if this trick would work it is not possible with the Insight and it is probably best to do the sort thing prior to actually wanting to plant.

You can purposely import a guidance line to a different field if you wish. I have done this where I had a corn field planted first but later wanted to plant a different field to soybeans right beside it. I wanted to use the AB line from the corn field so that the soybeans mated up nicely. The original AB line was in the corn field but I exported it to the card and then imported it back into the display into the other field.
