nw NC | Paul, In response to your statements " I’ve never been to zoomearth, that is difficult to use at first blush, the entire globe is cloaked in clouds, when you finally zoom in enough it jumps to some location I haven’t a clue where in the world I am at.
I’m sure there is an easier way to navigate, but they don’t start a person out easy!"
Do this: As soon as Zoom Earth opens , look in control box in upper left corner. Make sure map labels and crosshairs are brightly lit by clicking directly on the wording. Once lit, countries will be labeled and crosshair will be center screen and can be seen whether cloudy or not. Place your cursor over where you want to look, left click and hold down moving mouse left, right, up, down to bring the area to crosshair. Start zoom with + & - buttons in top right corner. Simple and works slick.
Here is central USA at this moment.
