E.Central MN | Right, I think all those local Cenex gas stations are owned and operated by the local coops. Was just at the local coop's annual meeting. The coop owns and operates three gas stations. As the manager went over the financial numbers for the year he mentioned that they have a category under other receivables which is called "Grants receivable for station dispensers". They applied for and received grants from the corn growers assoc and from the American Lung Assoc(I think those are the right names anyway) and there might have been a third one. Those grants are put on the books as an asset ($64,500 in this case) and collected as they put the blender pumps into operation. | |
