 | We have a split king for 2 reasons.  One it wouldn't fit up around the corner and go up the stairs.  The other is we couldn't agree on a mattress.  My side of the bed is a concrete slab.  Her side is a pillow top with the consistency of marshmallow fluff.  It was only $100 more for 2 twin beds versus a king size bed.  That last 18 inches is pretty expensive when you step up from a queen to a king.  The split in the middle is not a big deal.  Throw a sheet over it and you can't really tell. |  |
