Michigan | I don’t think anyone who actually understand the nature of seed corn field operations has a problem with the way things are now. It’s becoming more and more professional and efficient. A company as large as Pioneer or Monsanto has eyes on them. The days of hiring shady crews is quickly going away. They have to meet all the E-verify and H2a guidelines. Now If you have a bone to pick with the laws and standards put in place by the government that’s a different story.
Last time I checked this is a free country. If someone wants to get the proper documentation and come do jobs better and faster then our chubby little spoiled white kids then I’m all for it. If it’s a way for them to better their lives and their families awesome. The Hispanic labor I see in my area isn’t “stealing” anything, they are earning it, and without it in seed fields you can count on higher seed costs and lower quality. | |
