| I've seen him talk about this. Goes into how oak trees don't get p&k applied and they produce a leaf and a crop (nuts) every year. A guy sent me a thing on here a couple weeks ago and it briefly talked about how today's yields might just now be starting to mine out p & k from being overly applied for years. So going out and putting on 100lbs of both then getting a 1970s yield was building fertility. You gotta pay attention to calmer because he'll say something like I've found planting at (insert low number) population gives me the best profit margin. Then you find out he's still getting 240 bushels or something. In my opinion it's going to catch up eventually. I wouldn't skip it for too many seasons. Like someone else said it depends on what his soil has in it not if he's applying it or not. | |
