SESD | Engine oil that meets sae standards will not harm an engine, that is just a fact. Hydraulic oil on the other hand is different, the additive package in hydraulic oils can react differently to different clutch and seal materials and cause problems. My experience working on automotive transmissions as a dealer tech tells me only OEM oil should go in, but there doesn't seem to be problems from switching Case and Deere equipment and exchanging oil. | |
