North Carolina | We really like the Mohawk closing wheels on both sides of the furrow. They will get a little gummy in wetter conditions, but that has not stopped their ability to close the seed slot. We are 100% no till now on a wide variety of soils. They got us over the hump of being able to close the seed slot with minimal pressure on the wheels. After two years of use I cannot see any wear on them. We looked at spikes, but thought they may be too aggressive for our conditions here. For us, a Coulter is still a must, but makes it harder trying to outfit row cleaners. | |
