GM Guy, that's the way I did it in 2018, I don't know if you ever saw any of my ads on Craigslist or nextech, but I've been advertising to cut with guys. I think my personality helps a little with me being able to get work, because in my area north of Wichita, nobody said I'd ever be able to get any acres because others have tried, but with word of mouth and a couple weeks of advertising I got 500 acres of soybeans. On top of that I had a few guys from Western KS calling wanting me to cut with them. Unfortunately I didn't have a combine trailer.
Charging by the hour is a good idea. Although, so far all the guys I've cut with think the acre counter in that machine is pretty accurate. Thanks for your reply :)
