I can't do it for what the dealer charges.  $48 for my wife's Explorer.  That includes oil, filter, top off fluids including washer fluid, rotated tires and check over everything else.   If something needs attention such as brakes, or air filter,  they let me know and I tackle that myself.

If I were to do it, I'd have $25-$30 wrapped up in oil and filter, I'd have to try and crawl under the thing.  Then, I would have to figure out which of my two jack's work, find the jack stands, then the right socket for the wheels,    I'd have 2 hours invested in this before I would be done.

On another note, I do all the farm trucks and tractors, except the semi's as the same deal applies to them, can't get the oil and filter for what the shop charges.   Although they make a lot after they find things wrong with their inspections, that I'd miss, but it needs addressed anyways to prevent problems down the road.

all that is what you are supposed to get. do you watch them?
