DeKalb, IL | Perhaps the most important part of your inquiry is in your first sentence: don't buy anything without checking with the college to find out what their recommendations and/or requirements might be for the program of study she's about to undertake. Many, if not most, colleges have package-priced systems that fit their requirements and are favorably priced. And, if you buy in line with their specs, she'll likely get support from the college.
Note to Owen: if a Mac will work for their needs, they probably won't need tech support. My experience on both platforms shows that settings need to be set on a pc; a Mac just works right out of the box. | |
