Subject: RE: drilling through tile

SWMN
I would use a diamond tip hole saw. I have used a carbide tip 1/2 inch drill bit for water lines but was shot in porcelain tile after I hole. I wouldn't want to try a hammer drill on tile.
Just my experience.

I let my hvac guy use my 1/4 inch hole saw to drill holes for some screws and didn't get the hole in the right spot and tried to ream the holes and wrecked the bit so drill straight down the bits aren't that strong and on the smaller bits clean them out every little bit and use lots of water to keep them cool.
