central mo | I havent had any luck getting Comodo to quit bugging me. I used it on my XP machine for a month or so and still a month later it kept popping up all the time.
Granted, it does EXACTLY what it's supposed to. It doesn't let anything through to or from the internet without you giving the OK first. But, what I'm imagining is that poor little ol' Mother of yours would see something (comodo) pop up out of no-where in the middle of checking her email and think, "Oh my! Better call my Mikey and ask what to do." OR even worse "Mikey, my computer is broken. This window keeps popping up saying a "VIRUS" is connecting to the internet"
I'd say keep comodo off there for your sanity. The older generation does NOT deal with change very well.
