Many of the upper mid to smaller/large farms around me actually do keep tractors for several years, then once they get 5000 hours or so I think the main reason for trading is once they start causing any problems most can't work on the electronic stuff-or repairs are too expensive. Only a few rolling every year-but not going to start that discussion.
Lots of combines rolled every year-some on 1 year, some on 2 year. I know several who have it worked out with dealer so they #2 guy gets #1 guys roll every year. Sure seems like there should be a lot of 3-5 year old combines around but I don't see them, maybe going overseas or other areas of the country.
