You probably have to give more info. Are you talking 300000 or 30000. As other have said big glut of late model stuff was in 16. If corn was 4.50 right now, machinery would be thru the roof. I think a big reason some items are bringing big money on farm sales is that you have history and a lot of times lower hrs. What is a under 2000 hr jd8100 worth if a new one to replace it is over 200000? A lot of times people look at the number on the side of a piece of equip, instead of the hr meter to determine that something is cheap. Some of the new stuff has more emissions and def compared to a 2005 model tractor. Pay too much for the older one but cost of ownership is less. To me if you are looking at a combine and find a nice one at a auction and know the history, I would sure look at it. It does seem like Best Buy's are during summer months historically. If know how tariff thing is going to turn out, you shouldn't be farming but playing the markets on a beach somewhere.
