I'd like to see a down the row picture. Looks like they don't use mole knives? I don't even see where a covering disc made a mark on the ground? Looks about like a high speed JD sidedress applicator but I know it's not.
I wouldn't be happy and would probably complain but I don't think you lost as much N as you think most likely.
