I am just a touch north of I-80. I shoot for planting oats, peas, and Winfred hybrid brassica in the second week of August. Still good tonnage, but late enough to limit warm season weeds from setting seed most of the time. I have had the Winfred get 5' tall when planted at the tail end of July.
Planting cover crop blend now?
