Gettysburg, PA | Your comment reminds of a situation once a number of years ago. Was standing in the shop with a farmer talking about cover crops. He harvested his wheat and wanted to know what he could/should plant as a cover crop. I look in the corner and see several bags of leftover soybeans. I ask him what he is going to do with those soybeans. Said he wasn't sure, might try to plant them next year. I said "plant those". He looked at me funny and said "But I wanted to plant a cover crop?" No problem, just don't harvest them, you've got your cover crop! Was a pretty funny epiphany for him. |
