I want some softer tires on the Ford F-250.

What size tires do you have?

If I install what it calls for along with the recommended psi; it dances like a basketball every time I hit a bump on the road.

Original equipment is just not safe.

That is a suspension issue, not the tires. Check the track bar mounts; 99-04 has a bushing at each end, 05-present uses a bushing at the sub frame mount and ball joint at the axle weldment.

Ball joints and tie rod ends are also possibilities or some combination there of.
