WC MN | Do the math and tell me how you can get by and get bigger by Prenentive plant and growing a poor crop and collecting insurance all the while paying more rent than anyone else. Moving bushels probably happens to an extent but the bushels moved away from a farm hurt that farms APH.
Not arguing that it doesn't happen, but the ones that are not all out committing fraud are not getting ahead by leaning on crop insurance. It takes a lot of risk away and encourages farmers to do things they shouldn't do but I do not see how it is an advantage for big vs small. Our farm has been in both categories over the last 20 years so I have seen it from both sides. | |
