I went to ER for something in my eye back in 79. She removed a piece of metal and I had no idea how or when it got there. Just a day or so of misery prior to visiting the ER. Sent me home with a patch over the eye and I was back on the combine. No lasting effects but it sure taught me to wear eye protection when grinding, chipping, or anything else in the shop that seems like it would be a good idea.
