Subject: RE: Ethanol E10 vs E??? maybe I should restate

Brazilton KS
We have ran E10 for several years, and had gone to 20 for a while before prices started getting crazy.  Had one tank of 50 when the ethanol was cheaper then gasoline.   I have to say that we sure seemed to have a sudden rash of fuel filters which needed changed.  We're back on straight gasoline now because the last time we bought, that was what the market wanted us to get.  I'm not too tied up on ideology when it comes to fuel...if the market says to buy it one way I'll do it. If it's all the same economically I'll lean toward more ethanol but probably only to about 25% now.  The fuellies don't seem to care, but we still have some carburettors which weren't really all that fond of the higher blends.
