| Ron, if you are sure your UPS is big enough to handle your PC, it's possible then you have a bad battery in it. It's also possible your UPS is not big enough to handle the PC and monitor or other equipment. I have worked with many different size UPS', from PC size to building size. Generally if input power is lost, your equipment should not shut down unless input power is lost long enough for the battery to run down. You should be able to disconnect your equipment from the UPS, then hook up something else (like a drill) and see how long it lasts. If it drains quickly, the battery is likely bad. If you think it is bad, you should be able to remove it yourself and replace it with one from a battery store like Batteries Plus. | |
