But is the camera capturing relative heat to the image? For example, if you have the sensor pointing straight down and took a picture, and then moved over a building, would the heat change?
With a relative thermal sensor, it takes account of how much heat is coming in from the field of view, and adjusts so that there is always a "warm" spot and a "cool" spot of the photo.
