Slicker than a Yes album. | When we heated with wood, it was Dad and myself. Dad ran the chainsaw and I loaded. Just a little JD 40 pulling two wagons from the woodlot. If we had to go back out in February, it was a long 7 mile ride on the tractor. Built character, I guess. Much nicer when we got a truck to haul and pull the wagon. There was no backup, so cutting wood was a must! I could have it as warm as I like, though.
Also, no splitter, so everything that didn't fit the furnace door had to be split by hand. Thankfully, the door was quite large.
The wagon below was rebuilt in '03, but had the same look. (Only rustier!)
