CNY | My SIL teaches Jr. High in an upstate NY city school. I don't know what he makes but it wouldn't be enough for me. He does like his job and most of the students. He does a lot of extra things for those that deserve it. But the crap he has to put up with from certain disruptive students that are never really disciplined because of PC administrators and rules, is crazy. There are seldom any real consequences other than suspension which is just what the student wants. Peer pressure and/or poor parenting seem to be at the root of problems. Some of the stories he tells are hard to fathom. An example, two female students are fighting on the street after school, the parent shows up, gets on cell and calls for help, help meaning reinforcements! | |
