West of Broken Bow
Life Is So Good. It's about a man, George Dawson, in Texas who didn't learn to read until he was 98 years old. If you read the book it helps explain why he didn't learn to read at an early age. He had a hard life. Some people may automatically reject it because he's African American, but I did not. He grew up in east Texas.

At age 103 he began studying for his GED. I need to get the book out and read it a third time.
