This belief goes right along with the (religious type) beliefs that the gold market is being manipulated to keep it cheap. Assuming that you don't put it in a safe deposit box, for reasons already discussed, I assume you will do something like bury it in your back yard? Then, with all the surveillance available to the authorities, what do you do with it - dig it up once a month and admire it in the light of your flashlight? |
Germany also continues to take back gold.
