| That's what we called them. An old rural mail carrier used say his route when he started in the Nebraska Sandhills was only 60 miles with 47 gates. I always liked it when there was a lever closer. Hated the two loop kind as a kid. My Dad showed me one day to put top loop on as far as you could first and then get on ground on all fours and push the bottom of the gate stick with your shoulder so you could put bottom loop on. Worked well until I was taller and stronger. Two loop gates were never very tight though. FWIW | |
