northeastern Ohio | They went through here a couple years ago. I have a 120 acre farm in one township. I denied them access to this farm. They put all the sensors and shot holes on the neighbors. They did not need my farm for the testing.
My dad has a 600 acre block in another township. He denied them access. They sued him and several other landowners. They lost. They sued again. They won the second suit (they brought in a judge from another county).
Of that 600 acres, 200 were leased to a different oil/gas company and the seismic guys had to go around it.
Long story short: they don't need your 5 acres unless all your neighbors are denying them access. Even then, they probably couldn't put enough sensors and do enough thumping on your 5 to get much of a picture of anyone elses. | |
