Remington no responsibility for this, had well taught safe gun handling rules been followed this tragedy would never have happened. My family owns or has owned 5 700's over the years, without any troubles. FWIW Our deer camp has a rule, as soon as you see another hunter you unload. Probably 60 yrs ago or more ( long long before my time) the camp had a close call, and instituted that rule.
