SW Iowa | I believe it is mainly just the new model 4900 guys have been complaining about needing more field test time before releasing. Others have reported success with the other model planters. Check the "search" feature of this site for "Kinze 4900 planters" and you will find a lot of chat.
I think, though, when others blame planter operational problems on the owner/operator it is a cop-out. How can the owner/operator be expected to know the ins and outs of all this new technology he has just purchased as soon as he writes the check for one?
Just what are "big boy pants" these guys talk about anyway? Something you can wear to shield you from losses due to a manufacture's product failure? Where do you get them?
