Good year and general tire ran this area. They are both gone, but Titan implement tires bought the good year building. Walmart has run all the small and best grocery stores out of business. There was a butcher who had the best meat, cut it all at order. He died and no one was there to take his spot. The tobacco buy out ended a lot of small farms.

I'd say 25-30 percent of our town is on some sort of government assistance.
