I would say production from the earth and other activities that improves peoples life. That definition could be different for different people. But a truly "wealthy" person is one that enjoys living and has the ability and resources to live that "wealthy" life. So I would choose a broader scope than you. But what comes from the earth is definitely the basis of where all wealth begins. Without it, no other wealth could be created. For example, the doctor that learned to be a doctor and removed the kidney stone that was lodged between my kidney and bladder several years back saved my life. I would have died from infection without his "wealth" of knowlege. So to me, that doctor has added to the wealth of humankind. To me anyone that contributes to things that improve peoples lives are adding wealth. Just a broader difinition I have than you. John |
